Do you know how exactly would you feel when you had to go through
a government interview? I give you here some of the symptomps.
Let put it as Masz's Government Interview Jitters.
1) After you received the offer letter, you will start experienced butterfly in your stomach. You will start checking at the calendar and count how much time left you have to study and digest all the government policy ever exists, Malaysia's Constitution, Parliment, Cabinets, Minister and Deputy Minister, local and world current issues.
(I'm teling you, this is worse than sitting SPM history paper)
2) 8 pm sharp. You will find yourself glued to the TV screen. Listening and watching every single details of the news. If necessary you will take notes. Nobody can touch the remote until the news is over. At this stage how you wish the news will be broadcasted more than an hour. So many information, so little time.
3) Forget FaceBook, Friendster, Blog; you will have no time for that. You will be more interested on this website; www.gov.my. No more low yatt forum, no more gossip forum. You will eat, drink, live and only devoted yourself to government forum. For a week, my most accessed forum was http://forum.ptdportal.com/
4) The more you read the more you feel that you know nothing. Now, you wish that you have a photographic memory so badly.
5) One day before the interview, you will not be able to sleep, but if you DO sleep the only dreams that you get will be:
"Siapakah Perdana Menteri Malaysia?", "Apa itu Misi Nasional?", "Sila sebutkan prinsip-prinsip Islam Hadhari?", "Apa beza High Commissioner + Duta?".
If I fail this time (which I hope I won't), I will not ever ever want to feel the same experience again. It is worse than SPM exam, worse than 10 times software house interviews.
It is the Mother of all Worse-Thing-That-Ever-Happen-To-You. It is that bad.
I do have a very high respect to those who pass especially who made it to become PTD. You guys rock!!!
After the interview, as I could not handle anymore pressure I dine out with my friends and indulge myself with Secret Recipe's Cakes. Arrgh leganya. Here are some pictures of me in my so-called 'heaven'!!
